Kimberly Rivie - Butera

Originally from Puerto Rico, Kimberly is a Licensed Veterinary Technician with more than 14 years of experience in veterinary medicine. Graduating from Columbia Central University in Puerto Rico, she relocated to Florida, and continued pursuing her passion for animal health and welfare, providing compassionate, high-quality care to pets and their families in general practice, emergency medicine and then landing in specialty in 2018.
In addition to her veterinary career, Kimberly has proudly served her community as a Firefighter/EMT during her first couple of years in Florida. These experiences have shaped her ability to remain calm under pressure, think critically, and deliver exceptional care with professionalism, compassion, and integrity.
Between caring for animals or serving her community, her goal has always been to make a meaningful difference through knowledge, compassion, and a lifelong commitment to service.

Outside of work, she can often be found training herself for the next HYROX, chasing her next marathon finish line, traveling with her husband, or spending time on the water fishing or simply enjoying a day of relaxation.
